We are an established accounting business providing compliance services as well as value added accounting services to a large variety of clients throughout Australia. With offices across Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Fraser Coast and Melbourne, we are continuing to expand on the east coast of Australia.

The Role

Based in our Melbourne office, there is opportunity to be involved in our other offices within Queensland as well as the future expansion of our business on the east coast of Australia. Ideally suits an ambitious accountant wanting to progress to an ownership level and willing to commit to not only their success but the success of the organisation. Must be able to work from start to finish with clients and work independently.

Our client mix is of a wide variety of businesses and not-for-profit organisations as well as the SMSF area of accounting. The business uses Xero for our preparation and administration, and our clients are Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks based.

As part of your duties and responsibilities, you will:

●Prepare financial statements for presentation to management, shareholders and statutory bodies

●Prepare and lodge individual, company, trust and partnership income tax returns

●Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and manage GST compliance

●Examine operating costs and income and expenditure for clients

●Assist in formulating budgetary and accounting policies

●Perform SMSF audit support and compliance work

●Provide advice on taxation matters including capital gains tax (CGT)

●Liaise with clients and provide accounting advisory support

Salary: $78,000 – $90,000 per year + superannuation

The Applicant

You must have:

●Great attitude and desire to grow within this business

●At least 1 year public practice experience

●An accounting or associated degree

●CPA, IPA or CA qualifications (or working towards)

●A working knowledge of Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks
