Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Clerk to join our team. This role supports the day-to-day financial operations of the business, including accounts and payroll functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of all financial activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including supplier invoices, customer billing, and payment follow-ups
- Perform bank and account reconciliations, ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date
- Maintain organised and compliant financial records and documentation
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting and closing processes
- Process end-to-end payroll (fortnightly), including wages, overtime, allowances, and leave entitlements
- Maintain employee payroll records, including onboarding, terminations, and leave balances
- Ensure compliance with Australian payroll legislation, awards, superannuation, and PAYG requirements
- Process superannuation and assist with ATO reporting obligations
- Respond to payroll and accounts queries from staff and external stakeholders
- Support budgeting, expense tracking, and general finance administration
- Liaise with management, suppliers, and external accountants as required
- Identify and contribute to improvements in financial and payroll processes
Skills & Experience
- Relevant experience in accounting and/or payroll processes
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping and payroll processes
- Knowledge of Australian tax, payroll, and superannuation requirements
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, or similar)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications

Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per annum
