888 Electrical Solutions is a national company with an opportunity for a qualified Airconditioning Technician to join our expanding team in Sydney servicing commercial contracts across NSW. Our office is based in north-western Sydney however work covers greater Sydney with occasional travel to our branches in Dubbo/Wagga Wagga if required.
Role Overview
Our Airconditioning Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing residential, commercial, and industrial air conditioning and refrigeration systems. The role requires strong technical capability, a commitment to safety, and the ability to deliver high‑quality service to clients across the Sydney region.
Key Responsibilities
- Install air conditioning and refrigeration systems, including split systems, ducted units, and commercial HVAC equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance on air conditioning units to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
- Diagnose faults in mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of HVAC systems.
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, and wiring.
- Perform system testing to verify correct operation after installation or repair.
- Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specifications.
- Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, WHS regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Provide clear communication to clients regarding system issues, repair options, and maintenance recommendations.
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate job documentation.
- Collaborate with team members and support apprentices or junior technicians when required.
Qualifications Required
- Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (or equivalent trade qualification).
- Current Refrigerant Handling Licence (ARC).
- White Card (Construction Induction).
- Valid NSW driver’s licence.
- Travel required and overtime available
- Vehicle provided
Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ work experience in air conditioning installation, service, or maintenance.
Other Skills and Attributes
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Understanding of WHS practices and safe work procedures.
- Ability to work in varied environments, including heights and confined spaces.
- Basic computer literacy for job reporting and digital service tools.
- Physical fitness to handle equipment and perform manual tasks.
Salary
- $39-45 per hour
