Dazlem Pty Ltd operates Bakers Delight – Keilor Downs, a high-volume retail bakery within the Bakers Delight franchise network. The business produces a wide range of freshly baked breads, rolls, and pastry products daily, serving a strong and consistent customer base within the Keilor Downs community.
Operating in a fast-paced environment, the business maintains strict adherence to franchise production systems, Australian food safety standards, and workplace health and safety regulations to ensure consistent product quality and efficient service delivery.
Position Purpose
The Baker is a full-time permanent role essential to the daily operations of the bakery. The position is responsible for preparing, baking, and presenting a variety of bakery products to meet continuous customer demand while maintaining consistency, quality, and compliance.
The role contributes directly to production efficiency, product standardization, and operational continuity, ensuring the business can meet high daily output requirements within a structured franchise environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Prepare and bake a range of bread, rolls, and bakery products in accordance with Bakers Delight recipes and production standards
• Produce high-volume batches of baked goods to meet daily sales and customer demand
• Prepare a range of baked goods and specialty bakery items in line with the Bakers Delight product range and production standards
• Operate and monitor bakery equipment including ovens, mixers, and proofers
• Ensure correct fermentation, proofing, baking temperatures, and timing processes
• Maintain consistency in product quality, appearance, and portion control
• Monitor stock levels and prepare ingredients in line with production schedules
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures across all baked goods
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized bakery environment at all times
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards, hygiene regulations, and HACCP principles
• Work efficiently in early morning and high-pressure production environments
• Follow workplace health and safety policies and procedures
Qualifications and Experience
• Certificate III in Baking (equivalent or higher qualification)
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant full-time experience as a Baker in a commercial or retail bakery
• Experience working in a high-volume production environment, preferably within a franchise or structured bakery setting
• Demonstrated ability to follow standardized recipes and production schedules
• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and quality control requirements
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work early morning shifts as required
Salary Range: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum + Superannuation
