Cabinet Maker

Eaglewood Kitchen, Bathroom & Outdoor is seeking a dynamic, creative and career focused individual to join our operations team on full-time basis. This position provides a great opportunity for a self-driven highly motivated Cabinet Maker looking to develop their skills further and contribute to the advancement of the business.

You will ensure tasks assigned are carried out in a timely fashion, to a high standard and within work safety guidelines.

To be successful in this role you will have:

·Relevant Trade qualification plus Minimum of 2 years’ experience

·A passion for the manufacturing industry and a willingness to succeed in it

·Good interpersonal and communication skills

·Ability to work unsupervised as well as in a team in a factory environment

·Good time management skills and the ability to work under pressure

·Demonstrated ability to be able to multitask.

Main Duties

·Examining drawings, work orders and sample parts to determine specifications

·Selecting and working with materials such as timber, veneers, particle board, synthetic wood and other engineered wood products

·Programming and controlling computer-aided design and computer numerical control machines to mark out, cut and shape components

·Working from drawings and specifications to make cabinets and furniture

·Installing cabinetry in bathrooms and kitchens and commercial fit outs

·Making fittings for boats, caravans and other items where fine detail is required

·Assembling parts to form sections of cabinets and furniture and completed articles

·Applying protective coatings to cabinets and furniture

·Fitting hinges, locks, catches, drawers, shelves and other associated hardware

·Making frames for chairs and couches

·May make reproduction furniture

·May repair and refurbish furniture including antiques

Qualification

Trade Qualification

·Certificate Cabinet making or equivalence

·Extensive experience will be considered as equivalence for qualification.

Experience

·Previous experience: at least 2 years as Cabinet Maker
