The client is currently recruiting an experienced Carpenter with a solid background in residential projects. As a highly motivated and qualified Carpenter, strong technical knowledge of the building and construction industry combined with a high level of attention to detail is required. This role plays a vital part in the construction of custom homes, where attention to detail and quality craftsmanship is paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

· Execute quality carpentry workmanship to the highest level while maintaining company standards and safety

· Read plans and specifications to determine dimensions, materials required, and installation processes to be followed

· Construct, install and repair structures and fixtures using timber, plywood and other materials

· Measure, cut, shape and assemble materials to required specifications

· Install frameworks, walls, flooring systems, doors, windows, and cabinetry

· Carry out formwork, framing and finishing carpentry works

· Maintain tools and machinery in safe and efficient operating condition

· Estimate costs and order materials needed

· Cut materials, assemble, and nail cut and shaped parts

· Nail fascia panels, sheath roofs, and fit exterior wall cladding, door, and window frames

· Assemble prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install

· Repair door/window locks, frames, and window frames, locks and other timber structures

· Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, safety standards, and regulations

·Liaise with clients and other trades in a professional manner

Skills & Qualifications:

· AQF Certificate III in relevant trade including 2 years on job training or AQF Certificate IV. The position requires at least one year of full -time experience and the ability to work independently to specifications and plans.

· Proven experience as a Carpenter in residential projects

· Strong technical knowledge of the building and construction industry

· Ability to read and interpret technical plans and blueprints

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

· Ability to work independently and within a team environment

· Knowledge of health and safety regulations
