Remuneration: CPW4 ($83,550 - $87,479) plus 12% superannuation

We are looking for a Case Worker to join our St Marys office and support the safety, wellbeing and development of children and young people in care.

You will work with children, families, carers and community services to coordinate supports, progress case plans and help achieve lasting outcomes. The role involves managing a varied caseload, navigating complex situations and contributing to culturally informed practice that respects the needs of diverse communities.

This is an opportunity to apply your case management skills in a collaborative team environment while making a meaningful contribution to the lives of children and young people.

In this role, you will:

  1. Work within a case management framework to support children and their families
  2. Use a range of professional interventions and case work techniques
  3. Visit children in care and provide support and assistance as required
  4. Connect clients to appropriate services, as well as formal and informal community networks
  5. Provide culturally appropriate and aware services.

About you:

  1. You have experience in handling conflict and managing challenging behaviours
  2. You show a commitment to developing and maintaining positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders
  3. You possess excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  4. You can support child safety outcomes for families who live in remote Aboriginal communities.
