Location: 138 Durham Road, Sunshine VIC 3020

Salary - $77000-$80000 + Superannuation

We are seeking a highly experienced and passionate Chef to join our team in Sunshine. This role offers an opportunity to apply your culinary expertise in an Indian Restaurant. The Chef will report directly to the director and play a key role in leading and supporting a high-performing kitchen team. This position requires experience in all areas of quality menu management and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The preference will be given to the Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents.

Main Duties:

· Leading the kitchen and ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation.

· Oversee kitchen teams, provide training from time to time and ensure efficient use of kitchen equipment.

· Cooking the meals as per the restaurant menu.

· Contribute to the creation and execution of innovative and high-quality menus.

· Monitor and maintain food cost control practices, including menu costings and stock

· management.

· Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and HACCP compliance.

· Ensure guest satisfaction by consistently delivering high-quality meals.

· Work under pressure in a high-volume environment while maintaining composure.

· Collaborate with the management to ensure seamless kitchen operations.

· Prepare a roaster for the Kitchen and front staff.

· Creating a curry of the day to boost business sales.

Qualifications and Experience:

· Minimum Diploma of Hospitality and Management.

· At least one year of experience working in an Indian Restaurant.

· Proven ability to manage Kitchen staff, set high performance standards, and run all areas of the kitchen.

· Strong understanding of Indian Curries and current hospitality market trends.

· Experience in Menu Development, costing and food cost control.

· Ability to work with a team and contribute to a high-performance culture.

· Passion for delivering exceptional food and ensuring customer satisfaction.

· Strong leadership, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Salary: $ 77000-$80000 per year plus Superannuation.
