If you've ever wanted to work somewhere that genuinely feels special, Sunset Pier might just be it. We're a licensed café/restaurant sitting right on the water at Bribie Island, with views across the Pumicestone Passage to the Glasshouse Mountains that honestly never get old. Since 2017, we have built something the whole community is proud of a place where locals and visitors come for great food, good coffee, and that easy coastal vibe that's hard to find anywhere else.
We do everything from lazy weekend breakfasts and fresh seafood lunches to birthday celebrations, functions, and intimate weddings. It's a busy, vibrant kitchen with a lot of heart.
The Role
We're looking for a Chef who genuinely loves what they do. Someone who gets a buzz out of a well-run service, takes pride in every plate, and wants to be part of a kitchen that actually cares about the food, the team, and the guests walking through the door.
This is a role with real substance to it. You won't just be cooking, you'll have a hand in shaping how the kitchen runs.
What You'll Be Doing
Who We're Looking For
You don't need to have worked in a hatted restaurant — but you do need to know your way around a busy kitchen and care deeply about the food you put out. You're someone who communicates well, stays calm when it gets hectic, and lifts the people around you rather than just looking after your own section.
A Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery is a plus, but real experience and the right attitude will always speak louder. You'll need to be available on weekends and public holidays.
