Position: Chef

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining our food quality standards and contributing to menu development.

Some of the duties and responsibilities are:

  1. Plan menus, including seasonal updates, and daily specials.
  2. Estimate food and labour costs and support effective cost control measures
  3. Order food supplies and manage stock levels to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  4. Prepare and cook a variety of traditional and contemporary pizzas to a consistently high standard
  5. Prepare breakfast, brunch, and specialty menu items in line with established quality standards
  6. Monitor the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
  7. Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations, including HACCP principles
  8. Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and organisation at all times
  9. Discuss food preparation and operational issues with management, kitchen staff, and front-of-house teams as required
  10. Demonstrate cooking techniques and provide guidance on preparation procedures where needed
  11. Support smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods, including lunch and dinner services
  12. Train, mentor, and support junior kitchen staff to develop team capability and performance
  13. Assist in freezing and preserving food items in accordance with food safety standards
  14. Collaborate effectively with directors, front-of-house staff, and the wider team to ensure excellent service delivery
  15. Assist with stock control and minimising food wastage

About You

  1. Relevant culinary qualifications (e.g., Certificate III in Commercial Cookery)
  2. Minimum 1-year commercial kitchen experience
  3. A hands-on leader who leads by example in day-to-day operations
  4. Calm, level-headed, and solution-focused, with the ability to remain professional under pressure
  5. Resilient and composed, with the ability to handle challenges without becoming unsettled by minor issues
  6. Reliable, punctual, well-organised, and a positive leader
