As part of our continued growth, we are currently seeking to fill two (2) Chef positions within our kitchen team.
Position Summary
As a Chef, you will play a key role in the daily operations of the kitchen. You will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes, supporting menu innovation, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. This role requires creativity, efficiency, and a strong passion for hospitality.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes in accordance with the restaurant’s standards
- Assist in designing and updating menus, including specials and seasonal offerings
- Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation across all services
- Monitor portion control and minimise food wastage
- Oversee food preparation and ensure timely service during busy periods
- Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen environment
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
- Manage stock levels, conduct stock rotation, and assist with ordering supplies
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff as required
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
Skills & Experience Required
- Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery (Certificate III or IV or equivalent)
- Relevant experience as a Chef in a busy kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Understanding of food safety standards and HACCP principles
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Creativity and passion for food presentation and innovation
