About the RoleWe are looking for a motivated and reliable Chef to join our kitchen team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a busy café environment and has a passion for producing high-quality food consistently.
You will be responsible for managing day-to-day kitchen operations, preparing meals, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present café menu items to a high standard
- Maintain consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner during busy service periods
- Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant kitchen environment
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising waste
- Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service
- Contribute ideas for menu improvements and specials
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Chef (café experience highly preferred)
- Minimum Diploma in a cookery or relevant field
- Strong knowledge of breakfast and brunch cooking
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Must have a valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport
- Must be available to work weekends and public holidays
- Able to work early morning shifts(6:00 AM to 4:00 PM availability required)
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
