Welcome to Eden Academy West Lakes. We are a child safe organisation, committed to the safety, wellbeing and empowerment of all children.
Operating from 7:00am - 6:00pm, we are seeking a skilled Chef to design, prepare and deliver balanced and nutritional food in our commercial style kitchen to cater for 120 children.
As our new Chef, you will:
- Plan and prepare daily meals in line with nutrition guidelines and centre requirements
- Cater to diverse dietary needs with confidence and care
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment
- Engage with children and educators to promote healthy eating habits
- Build genuine connections with families and create sense of community
What You’ll Bring:
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery OR
- Certificate III in Hospitality or equivalent
- Food Safety Certificate
- A current Working with Children Check
- Strong understanding of diverse dietary requirements and food sensitivities
- Australian Working Rights
- Impeccable personal presentation
- Experience in menu creation, bulk meal preparation, online ordering, stock management, and budget control
- Proven experience in commercial cooking
- Availability to work Monday to Friday
