About the Role

Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $76,000 to $82,000 + Superannuation
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items in line with established recipes and presentation standards
- Coordinate kitchen workflow during service to ensure timely and consistent dish output
- Monitor food preparation processes to maintain quality, portion control, and consistency
- Supervise and guide cooks and kitchen staff during service periods
- Assist in menu planning and adjustments based on service demand and ingredient availability
- Manage stock levels, ordering, and inventory control within the kitchen
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety requirements
- Inspect finished dishes prior to service to maintain quality standards
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery and order accuracy
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, organisation, and operational readiness
Skills & Experience
- Relevant qualification such as Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, Diploma of Hospitality Management, or equivalent
- Minimum 1–2 years of full-time experience in a commercial kitchen at Chef level
- Experience supervising kitchen staff and managing service flow
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced service environment
