About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to join our professional kitchen team. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring consistent quality, creativity, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare, cook, and present menu items to restaurant standards.
  2. Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation.
  3. Create menus and develop innovative recipes based on coastal and seasonal flavours.
  4. Support menu planning and cost control.
  5. Manage stock, ordering, and supplier relationships.
  6. Implement and monitor HACCP and health & safety processes.
  7. Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and food safety standards.
  8. Roster and manage kitchen schedules.
  9. Train and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a positive and efficient team culture.

Skills & Experience

  1. Certificate III & IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification).
  2. Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a busy commercial kitchen.
  3. Strong knowledge of modern Australian cuisine.
  4. Excellent teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.
  5. Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
