About the Role

Chef’s Buffet is looking for passionate and skilled Chefs to join our high-volume kitchen in Liverpool. You will play a vital role in developing, maintaining, and improving our efficient kitchen operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a culinary professional with expertise in authentic Korean flavours to lead a dedicated team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Culinary Excellence: Prepare, cook, and present complete meals and high-quality Korean dishes according to restaurant guidelines.
  2. Menu Innovation: Assist the Head Chef with menu planning, seasonal item development, and ensuring top-tier food presentation.
  3. Kitchen Management: Handle food and equipment ordering, stock control, and daily kitchen maintenance.
  4. Leadership & Training: Supervise and train kitchen staff and assistants on cooking fundamentals and plating standards.
  5. Compliance: Enforce strict hygiene regulations and food safety standards at all times.

What We Are Looking For

  1. High-Volume Experience: Proven experience working in a high-pressure, high-volume restaurant environment (regularly catering to over 200 dining customers)
  2. Korean Cuisine Expertise: Proven experience with authentic Korean culinary techniques and flavors is essential.
  3. Qualifications: Culinary certification or equivalent professional experience.
  4. Technical Skills: Proficiency in food safety, sanitation, inventory management, and various kitchen equipment.
  5. Resilience: Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure as part of a collaborative team.
  6. Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen and floor staff.
