This is a rare and exciting opportunity to shape the future of trauma care in Far North Queensland. Cairns Hospital is seeking a highly experienced specialist clinician to take on the inaugural role of Clinical Director – Trauma Service, providing strategic, clinical and operational leadership in establishing a new multidisciplinary regional Trauma Service.
Duties/Abilities
Cairns Hospital manages a growing volume of complex trauma patients from across the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service and the Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service. With planned capital expansion underway, this role will lead the development and implementation of a Level 3 accredited Trauma Service, delivering coordinated, high‑quality trauma care across a vast geographic region.
