About the Role

We are currently seeking motivated and compassionate Community Support Workers to support NDIS participants in achieving their personal goals through community participation and capacity building activities.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support participants to engage in community, social and recreational activities
  2. Assist with community access, including attending events, programs, or appointments
  3. Encourage and facilitate independent living skills development (e.g. communication, routine building, confidence)
  4. Provide mentoring and emotional support to improve social inclusion
  5. Support participants in education, volunteering or employment-related activities
  6. Assist with goal tracking aligned with NDIS plans
  7. Maintain accurate case notes and progress reports
  8. Work collaboratively with families, coordinators, and allied health professionals

Skills & Experience

  1. Qualification in Community Services / Social Work / Youth Work / Mental Health (Cert IV or above preferred)
  2. Experience in age care field, community engagement, or social support roles
  3. Strong understanding of person-centred and strengths-based approaches
  4. Ability to build rapport and support diverse participants
  5. Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  6. Mandatory Requirements
  7. Current Driver License & reliable vehicle
  8. Full working rights in Australia

Highly Regarded (but not essential)

  1. Experience working with culturally diverse clients
  2. Background in mental health or youth support
  3. Knowledge of NDIS capacity building supports
