About the Role
Muscat Concrete Pumping is seeking a detail-oriented and commercially aware Construction Estimator to join our team in Sunshine North, VIC. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to the successful delivery of construction projects.
This role is well-suited to someone who thrives in a deadline-driven environment and has strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
·Analyse project drawings and technical specifications to determine scope and estimate total project costs, including materials, labour, and associated resources
·Undertake site inspections to evaluate conditions, identify risks, and gather essential project data
·Source pricing from suppliers and subcontractors, compare quotations, and negotiate commercially viable rates
·Liaise with architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, and contractors to resolve discrepancies and confirm project requirements
·Develop detailed cost estimates, prepare tender submissions, and present pricing breakdowns to stakeholders
·Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose value-engineering solutions without compromising quality
·Support tender negotiations and assist in finalising contract pricing and project budgets
What We’re Looking For
·AQF Diploma or higher qualification in a relevant field
·At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Construction Estimator or in a closely related role
·Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
·Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documentation
·Effective communication skills with the ability to engage with multiple stakeholders
·Well-developed organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously
