About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our kitchen team. This is a hands-on role in a structured kitchen environment, supporting the preparation and service of high-quality meals across à la carte and function service.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes including entrées, mains, and desserts
  2. Assist in daily kitchen operations and service delivery
  3. Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation standards
  4. Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety compliance
  5. Support menu preparation and seasonal menu updates
  6. Work collaboratively with chefs, kitchen staff, and front-of-house team
  7. Ensure kitchen cleanliness and proper food storage practices
  8. Assist during busy service periods and functions

Requirements

  1. Relevant qualification (Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent)
  2. Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen
  3. Experience in restaurant, hotel, or bistro-style dining
  4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  5. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  6. Strong teamwork and communication skills
