About the role
Our client is seeking a qualified Electrician / Overhead Crane Technician to join their team in a full-time capacity, based in South Perth, WA. This role will see you responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of overhead cranes and associated equipment across various client sites, ensuring all machinery operates safely, efficiently, and in line with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities for the role
* Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on overhead cranes
* Perform preventative maintenance inspections and servicing on cranes and related equipment
* Test and commission new crane installations and system upgrades
* Liaise with clients to understand maintenance needs and provide tailored solutions
* Provide technical support and advice on the operation and care of crane equipment
* Maintain accurate documentation and service records for all work completed
* Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with relevant regulations and standards
Skills and Experience
* Qualified Electrician with a current Electrical Licence
* Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
* Experience working with overhead cranes or similar lifting equipment (highly regarded)
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong commitment to safety and compliance
