Position – Developer Programmer

Location – Kilmore, Victoria 3764

Salary - $80,000 - $88,000 plus superannuation per annum

Employment Type – Permanent, Full-time (38 hours per week)

THE ROLE:

We are seeking a qualified Developer Programmer to design, develop and maintain software applications and digital solutions that support business operations and client solutions. You will work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to analyse requirements, develop functional solutions and ensure high-quality system performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

· Design, develop and maintain secure software applications, ensuring adherence to cyber security best practices.

· Identify and remediate software vulnerabilities, applying secure coding standards and threat mitigation techniques.

· Integrate applications with secure APIs, authentication systems and encryption protocols.

· Conduct testing, debugging and troubleshooting to identify and resolve software defects and performance issues.

· Support implementation of secure system architecture and contribute to risk reduction strategies.

· Prepare and maintain technical documentation including system specifications, workflows and user guides.

· Collaborate with cyber security teams to ensure applications meet security, compliance and data protection requirements.

· Conduct security-focused testing, including input validation, access controls and data protection mechanisms.

· Support deployment activities and provide ongoing technical support where required.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

· Relevant qualification, such as a bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology (or equivalent).

· Minimum of 3 years work experience as a Developer Programmer.

· Proficiency in programming languages, such as Java, JavaScript, Python C#, or similar.

· Experience with web development technologies (HTML, CSS, frameworks) and/or backend systems.

· Strong understanding of databases, SQL, and system integration, including APIs and cloud environments.

· Understanding of secure coding practices, authentication methods, and common vulnerabilities.

· Experience with version control systems (such as Git) and software development methodologies.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

· Effective communication skills with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

· You must have unrestricted working rights to work full time in Australia to be eligible for consideration.
