About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented DevOps Analyst to join our Group Solutions Team. This role is ideal for someone early in their DevOps or IT operations career who is looking to build hands-on experience in CI/CD pipelines, release coordination, and environment management.
Working closely with the Environments and Release Manager and DevOps Engineers, you will support day-to-day deployment activities, contribute to release governance processes, and help ensure stable and timely platform releases. You will receive guidance and on-the-job learning in a collaborative, fast-paced environment while developing strong foundations in DevOps practices.
Key Accountabilities
DevOps & Environment Support
- Support the configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of development, test, and production environments
- Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines under guidance
- Ensure repositories follow approved security and access controls
Release & Deployment Support
- Coordinate and support deployment activities across multiple projects and environments
- Communicate deployment status, risks, and issues to relevant stakeholders
- Assist with production releases in line with approved change and release processes
Tooling, Process & Documentation
- Support the use and continuous improvement of Azure DevOps tools (Pipelines, Repos, Boards, Artifacts)
- Maintain accurate documentation for pipelines, environments, and release procedures
- Update work items, tasks, bugs, and user stories in Azure Boards
Incident & Issue Support
- Assist in incident and defect resolution by logging issues, gathering logs, and escalating as required
- Contribute to post-release reviews and identify opportunities to reduce deployment risk
Key Capabilities Required (Qualifications, Experience and Skills)
- Tertiary qualifications in IT, Computer Science or related discipline
- 2–3 years’ experience in IT operations, software delivery, or deployment support
- Working knowledge of DevOps concepts and CI/CD fundamentals
- Hands-on exposure to Azure DevOps or similar DevOps tooling
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Preferred Capabilities (Qualifications, Experience and Skills)
- Exposure to release and deployment pipelines across multiple environments (Dev, Test, UAT, Prod)
- Understanding of Change and Release Management processes
- Experience supporting multiple environments in a regulated or complex organisation
- Familiarity with Cloud (Azure) platforms
Development and Growth
This role provides on-the-job learning and exposure to modern DevOps practices. The DevOps Analyst will be supported by experienced DevOps Engineers and the Environments and Release Manager, with opportunities to build technical capability, gain exposure to release governance, and progress into more advanced DevOps or platform roles over time
