Diesel Mechanic

Strand Ex is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to support maintenance and repairs across a fleet of civil and earthmoving equipment.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can work independently, fault find efficiently, and keep plant running without constant supervision.

Scope of Works

1. Maintenance and repairs on civil and earthmoving equipment
2. Fault finding and diagnostics across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
3. Breakdown response and on-site repairs
4. Preventative maintenance and servicing
5. Ensuring plant is compliant and operational
6. Working closely with operators and site teams

What We’re Looking For

1. Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic (civil or mining preferred)
2. Strong fault-finding ability
3. Experience with excavators, loaders, dozers, and support equipment
4. Ability to work unsupervised and manage workload
5. Reliable, switched on, and takes ownership

Tickets & Requirements

1. Trade qualified Diesel Mechanic
2. Australian recognised certification
3. Valid driver’s licence
4. HR licence (advantageous)
5. High Risk / additional tickets (advantageous)

Roster & Conditions

1. 12-hour days
2. FIFO/DIDO (as applicable)
3. Full-time ongoing role
