Kimberley Mob Pty Ltd is a family-owned and operated heavy haulage business based in Roebuck, WA, established in July 2022. The company specializes in side tipper operations and also operates a water tanker, front-end loader, and end tipper. Projects are primarily delivered for Main Roads across the Kimberley and Pilbara regions, with additional ad hoc works undertaken as required.
Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing diesel-powered vehicles and heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
-Performing scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance, and inspections on heavy vehicles and machinery;
-Attending breakdowns and conducting on-site repairs as required;
-Diagnosing faults in diesel engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, and braking systems, including repairing the faults by dismantling, repairing / replacing the faulty components and reassembling them;
-Testing and adjusting repaired systems to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and operational standards;
-Using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify faults and verify repairs;
-Maintaining accurate service records and ensuring all maintenance is up to date;
-Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with safety regulations and company procedures
Candidate Requirements
-Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification; OR at least three (3) years of relevant full-time work experience;
-Demonstrated experience working with diesel engines and heavy vehicles;
-Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills;
-Commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship and fleet reliability;
-Valid MC (Multi Combination) Driver’s License (required for testing vehicles);
-Current Driver’s Medical;
-Construction White Card;
-Forklift license (desirable/required depending on duties).
