Secondary English/HASS Teacher
Blackheath & Thornburgh College is a K-12 Boarding and Day school located in the regional education hub of Charters Towers. We are seeking applicants for a English/HASS Teacher position working across the secondary school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver highly engaging lessons in collaboration with members of the teaching team
- Developing a culture of high expectations for all students
- Providing feedback to students and parents
- Using data to analyse the progress of students and to review teaching and learning strategies.
- Build strong relationships with colleagues, students, and parents
Employment Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Hold current registration with QCT or eligibility to gain
- Australian working rights or eligibility to gain
- Appropriate experience with English and Humanities teaching
- Committed to upholding and promoting the values and ethos of the school
- Proven ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and the wider community
- A commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest educational practices
- Ability to inspire and engage students, fostering a love for learning and academic excellence
