Role Overview
As a Finance Broker, you will play a key role in streamlining operations and enhancing efficiency across the business. A proactive mindset is essential, with a strong focus on identifying opportunities to improve systems, workflows, and overall business processes.
The primary objective of this role is to provide high-level executive and operational support to the Employer/Head Credit Adviser by managing all non-technical tasks and client communications. This will enable the adviser to focus on nurturing referral relationships and driving new business growth.
Experience in general or digital marketing will be highly regarded. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2–3 years’ experience within the industry, supported by a solid understanding of home loan processes and credit advisory services.
Key Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Referrer Relationship Management
- Maintain and manage the referrer database, including updating contact details and categorisation.
- Coordinate and implement referrer marketing schedules and engagement activities.
- Assist in identifying and onboarding new referral partners aligned with each application.
- Support the development of structured processes, templates, and communication strategies for engaging referrers.
- Coordinate and attend new referrer meetings where required.
- Plan and organise referrer engagement initiatives, including lunches, events, gifts, and promotional activities.
Financial Assessment & Credit Analysis
- Review and evaluate client financial documents, including income statements, tax returns, bank statements, liabilities, and credit reports.
- Prepare serviceability assessments and analyse clients’ capacity to meet loan obligations.
- Identify potential risks and ensure loan applications comply with lender credit policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct preliminary comparisons of lending products to align with clients’ financial goals and objectives.
Loan Structuring & Application Support
- Assist the Credit Adviser in structuring loan scenarios and preparing tailored recommendations.
- Prepare loan submissions, supporting documentation, lender forms, and compliance checklists.
- Manage the lodgment of applications, monitor progress, and respond to lender queries.
- Liaise with lenders, solicitors, accountants, and real estate agents to ensure smooth loan approvals and settlements.
Client Relationship Management
- Coordinate client engagement initiatives, including settlement gifts, birthday recognition, and tailored benefits for key clients.
- Conduct post-settlement follow-ups (e.g. 3-month check-ins) to gather feedback, generate referrals, and support Net Promoter Score (NPS) tracking.
Marketing & Brand Support
- Manage and schedule LinkedIn content (with content provided by the Employer).
- Support outreach to prospective clients and referrers via LinkedIn InMail and other channels.
- Assist in executing marketing initiatives and campaigns.
- Coordinate the production of client testimonial videos and other promotional materials.
- Support the preparation and distribution of monthly marketing communications.
CRM & Business Operations
- Ensure accurate and timely entry of new leads into the CRM system.
- Assist in tracking team KPIs and prepare agendas for fortnightly and monthly meetings.
- Support the development and optimization of CRM automation processes, including:
- Automated email and SMS communications
- Post-settlement follow-ups and client engagement workflows
Experience and Qualifications
- Proven Track Record: Previous experience as a Finance Broker, or in a senior leadership support role, with a minimum of 2–3 years’ relevant experience.
- Formal Qualification: A bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or a related field is required. A Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent postgraduate qualification is highly desirable.
