Part of a larger group of companies, our client set up its Australian branch recently and is now looking to strengthen its finance leadership team with this new hire.
Job Description
Reporting into a local Managing Director and international-based CFO, the key duties of this role will include:
- Oversee month end and year end financial closings
- Delivery of financial reports
- Maintaining inventory accuracy
- Variance analysis between actual and standard costing
- Inventory reconciliations
- Provide reporting on payables and cash flow
- Assist with upcoming system change
- Leading a team of 4 (3 across finance and 1 across purchasing)
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will possess the following traits:
- CA/CPA Qualified
- Prior people leadership experience
- Commercial accounting background, ideally working within an inventory or manufacturing based environment
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels
