Your new role Reporting to the Workshop Manager, this role will see you working across both workshop and site-based environments. You will work Monday to Friday, commencing work at 6 am with a convenient finish of 2.06 pm daily. Whilst most work is workshop-based, you will also need the ability to travel interstate three times a year and undertake regional work when required for contracts across paper mills, ports, and other industrial sites throughout Victoria. Your new role will involve: operating center lathes, milling and drilling machines, surface and bench grinders, general hand tools (electric & pneumatic), dismantling pumps and equipment, rebuilding components and applying metal coating, maintaining in-house equipment, and relevant reporting. What you need to succeed Fitter and turner with manual lathe machining capabilities, portraying solid mechanical aptitude; Proven background in an industrial Fitter role, pump experience highly advantageous; Ability to work autonomously and confident customer-facing skills (for some site-based pump work); Be open to site and workshop-based work, working on pumps. Ability to travel interstate x3 times a year; and Happy to work onsite where the work can be more hands-on / exposed to natural elements, or incremental weather. **Please note that consistent mandatory drug and alcohol tests will be conducted, as well as a national police check.
