The Role

· You will coordinate and control daily fleet movements across metropolitan and linehaul operations, ensuring freight moves efficiently, safely and on time.

· You will play a key role in strengthening our fleet planning function, providing guidance and mentoring support while maintaining control of daily operations.

· You will also oversee customer bookings and freight scheduling requests, ensuring loads are planned correctly from the moment they enter the system.

Key Responsibilities

· Plan and coordinate daily fleet schedules across metro and linehaul operations

· Process and manage customer bookings and freight scheduling requests

· Provide mentoring and operational guidance to strengthen the scheduling team

· Maintain constant communication with drivers throughout the day

· Manage unexpected operational changes and delays

· Ensure scheduling complies with NHVR fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility requirements

· Liaise with customers and warehouse teams to keep freight moving efficiently

· Monitor fleet utilisation and delivery performance

What We’re Looking For

You will likely have:

· Experience in fleet scheduling or logistics coordination

· Strong understanding of NHVR fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility

· Confidence managing customer bookings and operational planning

· Ability to support and mentor others within a transport operations team

· Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

· Clear communication with drivers, customers and management

Experience with refrigerated transport or FMCG distribution will be highly regarded.
