FORMWORK CARPENTER (Full-Time)

Salary: $80,000 – $90,000

FLOMAR PTY LTD is an Australian construction company specialising in formwork and reinforcement works, with experience delivering projects across residential, commercial, and civil sectors. Based in New South Wales (NSW 2044), the company continues to grow and expand its operations across the region, contributing to ongoing infrastructure and construction development.

We are currently seeking an experienced Formwork Carpenter to join our team on a full-time basis in New South Wales. The role involves assembling, installing, and dismantling formwork for concrete structures, reading and interpreting construction drawings, setting out and aligning formwork in accordance with project specifications, using tools and materials efficiently, and ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with WHS regulations, relevant building codes, and company standards across various construction sites.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of formwork carpentry, including but not limited to:

1. Building, installing, and dismantling formwork for concrete structures such as foundations, walls, columns, beams, and slabs
2. Reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans, and specifications
3. Setting out, aligning, bracing, and levelling formwork to meet engineering and safety standards
4. Cutting, shaping, and assembling timber, plywood, and other materials used in formwork systems
5. Safely stripping formwork while maintaining the integrity of completed concrete structures
6. Measuring and marking materials accurately using appropriate tools
7. Installing temporary supports, structures, and safety barriers as required
8. Operating hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and efficiently
9. Maintaining, repairing, and storing formwork systems and timber components
10. Complying with WHS requirements, building codes, and company policies and procedures

Requirements

1. Minimum 1 year of experience as a Formwork Carpenter or in a similar construction role
2. Certificate III in Carpentry or a related trade (preferred but not essential)
3. Sound knowledge of timber, conventional, or modular formwork systems
4. Ability to read and follow construction drawings and instructions
5. Competency in the use of carpentry tools and construction equipment
6. Valid White Card (mandatory)
7. Strong work ethic, reliability, and a safety-focused attitude

Work locations may vary depending on project requirements, and the role may involve working across different construction sites as directed by the employer.
