# About the Role

Tanoshi Dubbo Japanese Restaurant is a busy and well-established Japanese restaurant, known for its high-quality food and friendly service.

Due to ongoing business growth and operational demand, we are seeking a full-time Cook to join our kitchen team at Tanoshi Dubbo Japanese Restaurant.

This role involves supporting daily kitchen operations across lunch and dinner service, ensuring all dishes are prepared and presented to a consistently high standard

# Tasks & Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook a range of Japanese and Korean dishes, including sushi, hot food, and fried items

- Maintain consistency in food quality, portion control, and presentation

- Ensure the kitchen is fully prepared for service, including setup of ingredients and equipment

- Follow food safety and hygiene procedures across all kitchen areas

- Assist with stock control, stock rotation (FIFO), and inventory management

- Work closely with the Head Chef and team to maintain efficient kitchen operations

- Support menu development and daily specials when required

- Handle customer dietary requests where applicable

- Ensure smooth opening and closing procedures of the kitchen

- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction

# Requirements

- At least 3 years of experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen

- Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety standards

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

- Good time management and organisational skills

- A team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills

- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
