FULL TIME MOTOR MECHANIC

Ms Autoworks Pty Ltd is looking for a qualified and experienced Full-time Motor Mechanic to join our team.

Business Location: Glen Waverley VIC 3150

Salary Range: $75,000 – $85,000

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Diagnose and detect faults in engines and vehicle components using computerized and electronic diagnostic equipment.
2. Test, adjust, and tune mechanical parts after repairs to ensure optimal performance.
3. Carry out repairs and maintenance in accordance with job orders, including replacing worn or defective parts and reassembling components.
4. Perform scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups to ensure smooth vehicle operation and compliance with emission standards.
5. Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering systems, and other mechanical components.
6. Reassemble engines and vehicle parts after repair and maintenance work.
7. Inspect vehicles and assess required repairs and maintenance to ensure vehicles meet all relevant safety standards.
8. Maintain professional and courteous communication with customers and suppliers on a daily basis.

Skills and Qualifications

1. AQF Certificate III with at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3).
2. Preferred qualification: Certificate III or IV in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology and/or Diploma of Automotive Technology (or equivalent or higher).
3. Ability to work full-time (38 hours per week).
4. Demonstrated passion for the automotive industry.
5. Flexibility to work additional hours on a rotating roster as required by the business.
6. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
