Hairdressers/Barbers and Retail Supervisor

Diamond Barbers is a thriving hairdressing business in Northern Territory & Queensland (Cairns & Townsville). We offer a wide range of services, including haircuts, beard trims, facials, cutthroat shaves, and hair coloring, all delivered in a clean and modern environment. We are currently seeking full-time Hairdressers/Barbers and Retail Supervisor to join our dynamic and energetic team immediately at our locations in both states.

General Benefits:

1. Permanent full-time contract.
2. Competitive salary package from $65,000 to $85,000 plus super for the right person.

1. Hairdressers/Barbers

1. Prepares hair for styling by analyzing hair condition; shampooing and treating hair.
2. Conditions hair and scalp by applying treatments.
3. Plans desired effect by studying facial features; examining potential styles; conferring with customer; making recommendations.
4. Drapes and pins protective cloths around customers' shoulders.
5. Cuts and trims hair according to clients' instructions or current hairstyles, using clippers, combs, hand-held blow driers, and scissors.
6. Shapes and trim beards and moustaches, using scissors.
7. Applies lather and shave beards or neck and temple hair contours, using razors.
8. Cleans workstations and instruments.
9. Receives payment from customers.
10. Stays informed of the latest styles and hair care techniques.

Requirements:

1. Applicant must have relevant AQF Certificate III or AQF Certificate IV plus at least 1 - 2years relevant full-time working experience. Or at least 3 years relevant full-time working experience may substitute for these qualifications.
2. Must possess technical, creative, and interpersonal skills.
3. Good time management & communication skills.
4. Creativity and attention to detail.

2. Retail Supervisor

1. Ensures standards and procedures for quality, customer service and health and safety are met.
2. Manages staff, organize working plan and time schedule for everyone, specify and assign duties on a daily basis.
3. Be responsible for coaching, counselling, recruiting, training and disciplining staff.
4. Identifies the current and future situations of the industry market then helps to instruct staff on standard and variable sales procedures.
5. Inspects goods and products if returned by customers, reacts accordingly and properly.
6. Manages stock level, restores goods and products to sell and orders new goods to ensure inventory balance.
7. Prices products on sale and manages the display shelves.
8. Maintains the sales procedure to ensure it meets the safety and security requirements from local laws and rules.
9. Handles complaints and issues and inquiries from customers regarding quality and specifications of our products.
10. Performs other tasks as employer requires.

Requirements:

1. Applicant must have relevant AQF Certificate II or AQF Certificate III plus at least 1 - 2 years relevant full-time working experience. Or at least 1 year relevant full-time working experience may substitute for these qualifications.
