Head Chef and Cafe Manager

Koffee Shack is looking to fill two positions; an experienced breakfast head chef and an experienced cafe manager to join our well established cafe in the heart of Burleigh Heads.

Both roles are full time positions with availability on both weekend days a must. Salary range from $70,000 to $80,000 and will be offered based on experience. Successful candidates must show they have had relevant experience in the respective positions.

Responsibilities of the head chef position include but not limited to

1. Producing top quality food and presentation with consistency
2. Managing stock levels and ordering. Must to be able to communicate effectively with fellow chef colleague to co-ordinate the ordering from our multiple suppliers
3. Have creative ideas and be able to implement and improve the menu on a consistent basis
4. Must be motivated and proactive especially in having a clean kitchen
5. Be able to work individually or as part of a small team
6. Last but not least, we require our staff to have a personality. Especially as a lot of time is spent together at work, the candidate must be able to have a yarn with customers and colleagues

Responsibilities of the manager position include but not limited to

1. Punctual opening and closing of cafe
2. Managing staff and overseeing the day to day operating of the business
3. Coordinating with kitchen staff to ensure all stock and produce are ordered and properly rotated to minimise wastage
4. Managing our relationships with our numerous suppliers to ensure that when there is an issue with our supply that it is quickly resolved
5. Managing customer complaints and being the welcoming face of the cafe for our regular customers
