Finio Olives Pty Ltd is currently seeking a motivated and detailed oriented Horticulture Research & Development Officer to support research activities aimed at improving crop yield, quality and sustainability. This is a full time role working 5 days a week (8 hours a day).
The farm is situated in rural area in Gingin, 2 hours from Perth. You will be working with a small team of 3 permanent staff.
The task of a Horticulture Research & Development Officer involves working on improving plant production, quality sustainability and innovation in crops. The main responsibilities are:
Applicants should have a mix of agricultural expertise, practical hands on skills and strong leadership qualities. The successful applicant will have at least 5 years of fieldwork experience, and a Degree in Horticulture, Plant Science, Agriculture or related field.
They will also have knowledge of plant physiology and soil science, basic statistical/data analysis skills, and good attention to detail & patience.
A salary between $76,000 - $90,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
