About the Business

One of our valued clients in the hospitality industry is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Hospitality & Accommodation Manager to join their growing team in Hervey Bay. The business operates accommodation and hospitality services focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences, high-quality service, and professional hospitality standards.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accommodation and hospitality services, ensuring smooth business operations, excellent customer service, and effective staff management. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to an organised and customer-focused hospitality professional.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage day-to-day operations of accommodation, reception, housekeeping, and guest services
  2. Supervise and support hospitality staff, including rostering, training, and performance management
  3. Ensure high standards of guest satisfaction and customer service are maintained
  4. Handle guest enquiries, bookings, complaints, and operational issues professionally
  5. Coordinate room allocations, reservations, and occupancy management
  6. Monitor budgets, operational expenses, and financial performance
  7. Ensure compliance with workplace health & safety and hospitality industry standards
  8. Maintain relationships with suppliers, contractors, and service providers
  9. Assist in coordinating functions, events, and venue activities
  10. Implement operational improvements to enhance efficiency and guest experience

Requirements

  1. Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in hospitality, hotel, motel, resort, or accommodation management
  2. Relevant qualification equivalent to at least an AQF Certificate IV or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business, or related field
  3. Strong leadership and team management abilities
  4. Excellent communication and customer service skills
  5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment
  6. Strong organisational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
  7. Knowledge of accommodation booking systems and hospitality operations
  8. Financial and operational management experience will be highly regarded
