Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive HSE Advisor to support our regional construction projects. This role is responsible for promoting a strong safety culture on site and ensuring all works are carried out in compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and Australian WHS legislation.
The successful candidate will work closely with supervisors, subcontractors, and project management to support safe and efficient project delivery.
Frequent travel to remote Australia is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and maintain a positive safety culture across site
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Lead toolbox talks, pre-starts, and safety meetings
- Monitor compliance with WHS policies, procedures, and permits
- Investigate incidents, hazards, and near misses, including corrective actions
- Assist with SWMS, JHAs, and other safety documentation
- Support workers and supervisors with safety-related advice and guidance
- Ensure environmental and safety standards are maintained at all times
- Maintain accurate safety records and reporting
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, or a related field.
- Previous experience as an HSE Advisor on construction, infrastructure, or renewable energy projects
- Solar farm experience
- Current Driver’s License
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
