About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Landscape Gardener to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of landscaping duties, including both softscaping and structural landscaping works, in accordance with project specifications and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpreting landscape plans, drawings and specifications
- Preparing sites for landscaping works, including soil conditioning and levelling
- Planting trees, shrubs, lawns and other vegetation
- Constructing and installing garden features such as retaining walls, paving, paths and irrigation systems
- Laying turf and establishing lawns
- Maintaining landscaped areas through pruning, fertilising, watering and pest control
- Operating and maintaining landscaping tools and machinery
- Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements
Skills and Experience
- Relevant qualification in landscaping or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience in landscape gardening
- Strong knowledge of plants, soils and landscaping techniques
- Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings
- Experience with both soft and hard landscaping works
- Good physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
