SkillQuest Solutions are seeking an experienced and skilled Locksmith on behalf of our client who runs a professional locksmith company, based in Ringwood North, Victoria. Our client is known for providing reliable and high-quality security solutions to residential, commercial, and automotive clients. Position – Locksmith

Location – Ringwood North, Victoria

Salary - $75,000 - $80,000 plus superannuation per annum

Employment Type - Full-time, Permanent

THE ROLE:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and reliable Locksmith to help deliver exceptional service to a growing customer base. You will be responsible for diagnosing lock and key issues, installing and servicing a range of security hardware, and assisting customers with access and security needs. The role requires a practical mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a small, supportive team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

· Install, maintain, and repair a wide variety of locks, door hardware, safes, and security mechanisms.

· Cut keys, program electronic keys, and create locking systems tailored to client requirements.

· Respond to lockouts and provide onsite solutions for residential, commercial and automotive situations.

· Assess security needs and recommend suitable upgrade or hardware improvements.

· Rebuild, reset, or re-key locking systems to improve access control.

· Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and site observations.

· Provide friendly, professional customer service and uphold the company’s high-quality standards.

· Ensure compliance with all workplace health and safety requirements and adhere to relevant industry regulations and security standards.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

· Relevant qualification, such as a Certificate IV in Engineering-Mechanical Trade (or agreed equivalent).

· Proven post-qualification experience as a Locksmith of at least 1 year (preferably more).

· Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electronic lock systems.

· Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.

· Valid driver’s license.

· High level of reliability, integrity, and professionalism.

· Security License issued by the state of Victoria and a current Police Security Check is essential.

· You must have unrestricted working rights to work full time in Australia to be eligible for consideration.

WHAT IS ON OFFER:

· A competitive salary of $75,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation per annum (dependent on experience).
