Brigantine Marine Services (AUS) is currently seeking applications from
experienced
marine professionals with a background in project management and/or tanker
operations.
About the role:
Employed as a Marine Engineering Technologist, your role is to support, maintainand repair machinery and equipment on board our client’s vessel in a safe and efficient manner and in accordance with statutory regulations and companyprocedures. Ensure equipment availability and reliability is maximized in order to achieve safety and production requirements and targets.

The successful candidate will undertake the following duties:
• Follow Company’s HSE and operational procedures and strictly adhere to the conditions of the permit system.
• Cary out initial inspections and estimate cost for the repair/ installation projects.
• Raise material requisitions and follow up on purchasing equipment and consumable items for the maintenance and repair works.
• Carry out maintenance, repair work, shutdowns and isolations.
• Record accurate machinery and equipment logs and prepare service reports.
• Be familiar with the facility’s plant and machinery safe operation and
maintenance.
• Knowledge of safety requirements, including permit systems, operational and
emergency procedures, company policy and instructions.
• Identify plant and equipment maintenance requirements. Raise/close out work
orders.
• Lead a small team of welders, fitter and fabricators.
• Carry out other tasks as required by the Operations Manager and the GM.
Key application criteria includes:
Minimum Engineer Watchkeeper (Motor), STCW Certificate of Competency with a valid Oil Tanker Endorsement
Preferred experience as Engine Room Watchkeeper/Maintenance Engineer/ dry docking supervisor or similar facilities or experience on various types of ship such as container, bulk, tankers and general cargo.
Experience with Safety Management Systems and computerized Planned Maintenance Systems preferred.
