Your role at St John of God Langmore Centre
In this role, you will be a Mental Health Social Worker, Occupational Therapist or Registered Psychologist, who works alongside the multi-disciplinary team to provide evidence-based clinical services to clients/patients.
You will join our supportive and collaborative team, with opportunities to work across a range of services, including a range of our inpatient specialist group programs, and outpatient day program.
In this role, you also can be part of our specialised outpatient clinic for emergency services and defence personnel, providing one-on-one evidence‑based, short‑term interventions.
The position is structured around a 7.5‑hour workday, with a caseload of five clients per day if you are working in the clinic.
This is a permanent part-time and hours are negotiable for the suitable candidate, minimum 3 days per week.
The Position
Provides individualise support and group therapy sessions based on professional training reflecting current ethical clinical practice as required.
Provides care planning and monitoring client progress adjusting treatment accordingly.
Evaluates clinical outcomes and participates in research activities as required.
Liaise with all staff to promote effective communication including verbal and written feedback to referring Doctor.
Familiar and complies with legal, ethical responsibilities to patients, visitors and multi-disciplinary team members, including maintaining confidentiality.
Participates regularly in clinical supervision and continues ongoing professional development through education.
Maintains appropriate clinical records reflecting adherence to hospital policies, ACHS and legal requirements.
Contributes to the design and implementation
You will have:
For Psychologists:
A tertiary qualification in Psychology with General Registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA, preferably with Clinical Endorsement.
For Social Workers:
Tertiary qualification in Social Work and eligibility for AASW membership, ideally with Mental Health Accreditation.
For Occupational Therapists:
Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration with experience working in a mental health setting, preferably within psychiatric hospital environments.
To succeed you will have experience/ability to provide group programs and individual therapy using CBT, DBT, Schema Therapy and/or ACT modalities adult clients presenting with a myriad of concerns.

We will offer you
Salary Registered Psychologist (grade 2): $95,926 to $110,468 (pro rata for part-time basis) plus 12% Superannuation.
Salary Occupational Therapist & Social Worker (grade 2): $95,432 to $114,129 (pro rata for part time basis) plus 12% Superannuation.
