Mental Health Team Leader

This busy, new clinical leadership role is in one of our SEQ Correctional Centres based in and around the Wacol and North Ipswich area. It is the perfect opportunity for a senior-level clinician with team leadership experience, or an experienced senior clinician ready to take the next step into a leadership role.

You will lead and manage the new multi-disciplinary service model and team in an operationally and culturally diverse environment, that are working to improve rehabilitative outcomes and reduce recidivism. Your clinical knowledge and skills, combined with your leadership are key to ensuring delivery of critical mental health services are of a high quality and comply with QCS protocols.

About you:

  1. Advanced level, demonstrated experience providing complex clinical services
  2. Provide clinical practice supervision
  3. High calibre engagement and communication skills to build great relationships
  4. Team leadership and management
  5. Strong time management, organisational and planning strengths

Mandatory requirements:

  1. Tertiary qualifications in Psychology and membership with APHRA; or
  2. Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy or Social Work, with eligibility for membership or registration (APHRA / AASW)
  3. C Class drivers licence
