Salary: between $70,000 to $80,000 per year plus superannuation

About Us: The Royal Hotel Portland is a well-known and popular hospitality venue located in the Great South Coast region. The venue regularly hosts functions and group events. We are seeking multiple enthusiastic Bar Attendant/Waiter to join our front-of-house team on a full-time basis.

Bar Attendant duties and Responsibilities

·Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including beer, wine, cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks

·Maintain the bar area and equipment to high standards of cleanliness and organisation

·Take orders and handle payments accurately and efficiently

·Adhere to all relevant licensing laws and regulations and RSA requirements

·Support the team with general bar operations to deliver positive customer service

Waiter duties and Responsibilities

·Provide professional and friendly table service to customers

·Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently

·Serve meals and beverages in accordance with venue service standards

·Maintain cleanliness and organisation of dining and service areas

·Process customer payments using POS and EFTPOS systems

·Assist with setting up and servicing functions, events, and group bookings

·Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service operations

Requirements

·Minimum one year of proven bar or hospitality experience is required

·Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate

·Strong customer service skills

·Excellent knowledge of a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages

·Skilled in using POS systems, EFTPOS and cash handling

·Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment

·Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
