ALI Operations Pty Ltd is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Administration Officer / Bookkeeper to join our team on a full-time basis at our seafood facility in Hamilton Hill.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, this is a hands-on and varied role supporting day-to-day administrative, compliance and operational functions within a busy operating environment.

About the Role

ALI Operations Pty Ltd is seeking a highly organised and detail-driven Operations & Accounts Coordinator to support our seafood processing facility in Hamilton Hill.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role working directly with the General Manager across accounts, logistics coordination, and compliance documentation within a regulated export environment.

This position is best suited to someone with prior experience in operations, logistics, manufacturing, or production environments who is comfortable managing multiple priorities and working closely with operational staff.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounts administration using Xero
  2. Maintain accurate inventory records and stock tracking
  3. Prepare and submit DAFF export documentation and ensure compliance requirements are met
  4. Coordinate freight bookings, deliveries, and logistics scheduling
  5. Maintain structured documentation systems for audit and compliance purposes
  6. Support packaging coordination and labelling for production and dispatch
  7. Manage banking and general financial administration
  8. Coordinate supplier orders, site requirements, and operational support tasks
  9. Assist with HR administration and general office coordination
  10. Oversee site-related administrative tasks including maintenance scheduling and services

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping

Experience using Xero accounting software

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Strong attention to detail, particularly when managing compliance documentation

• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Strong organisational and communication skills

• A proactive, practical and team-focused approach

• Experience within food production, logistics, export, manufacturing or other regulated industries will be highly regarded

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  1. Proven experience in a fast-paced operational, logistics, or production environment
  2. Strong working knowledge of Xero accounting software (beyond basic data entry)
  3. Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping (minimum)
  4. High attention to detail, particularly in compliance and documentation
  5. Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
  6. Strong communication and organisational skills
  7. A practical, proactive, and team-oriented approach

Highly Regarded

  1. Experience in food production, export, manufacturing, or regulated industries
  2. Experience with Cin7 or similar inventory systems
  3. Diploma of Accounting
  4. Mandarin language skills
