Position: Operations Manager (Production)

Position type: Full time 38 hours per week

Salary: $76, 515 per annum plus superannuation

Location: NSW 2015

Our client, Fruitique Wholesale, based in Alexandria NSW, is seeking to employ an experienced Operations Manager oversee and manage its day-to-day operations.

Fruitique Wholesale operates within the food supply sector, providing fresh fruit, meat, vegetables, and dry goods to businesses across Sydney. The role requires strong operational oversight to ensure efficiency, quality control, and timely distribution of products.

Key Responsibilities:

● Developing, implementing, and reviewing production strategies, policies, and operational plans

● Coordinating and scheduling production activities, ensuring targets for quality, output, cost, timeframes, and labour are achieved

● Managing production plant operations and quality assurance processes, including maintenance planning, allocation of operating hours, and procurement of parts and equipment

● Monitoring production performance and costs, and adjusting processes and resource allocation to improve efficiency and reduce expenses

● Liaising with senior management and other departments regarding logistic matters and operational performance

● Overseeing the procurement, installation, and commissioning of new plant and equipment

● Leading research into production methods and driving continuous improvement initiatives

● Managing the preparation and maintenance of packing and logistic records, reports, and documentation

● Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) standards and regulatory requirements

● Supervising staff, allocating duties, and monitoring performance to maintain productivity and quality standards

● Developing and organising Logistical activities to ensure our clients receive their orders within their requirements.

Requirements:

● A Bachelor degree or higher qualification in a relevant field; or

● At least 5 years of relevant work experience in lieu of formal qualifications

● Be proficient and/or experience with the following software

  1. Fresho
  2. Optimoroute

● Able to start working from 11pm
