Therapies For Kids has an exciting opportunity for an experienced paediatric occupational therapist. In this role, you will play a crucial part in improving the lives of children with diverse needs, helping them reach their full potential through evidence-based occupational therapy interventions. The mixed caseload includes children with physical disabilities, those who are neurodiverse as well as those who are typically developing.
What you'll be doing
·Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the unique needs of each child and develop individualised treatment plans
·Delivering high-quality occupational therapy services to support children's development of fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and social-emotional skills
·Collaborating with families, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic, child-centred approach
·Documenting client progress and maintaining accurate records in accordance with professional standards
·Participating in regular team meetings and professional development activities to stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices
What we're looking for
·Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, with current registration as an Occupational Therapist in Australia
·Strong clinical skills in assessment, intervention planning, and evidence-based practice
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams
·Experience working with both physical and intellectual disabilities desirable
·Equipment prescription experience advantageous
