panel beating and spray-painting services.

We are currently seeking three experienced full-time professionals to join our team in the

following positions:

Panelbeater

Key Duties:

  1. Inspecting damaged vehicles to assess the extent of bodywork required
  2. Dismantling damaged sections and removing panels, trims, bumpers, or interiors for access
  3. Carrying out repairs on dents, scratches, and structural damage using modern repair techniques and equipment
  4. Welding, cutting, and fitting replacement panels or sections when damage is beyond repair
  5. Preparing repaired surfaces by sanding, grinding, and filling to ensure a smooth finish
  6. Aligning and reassembling panels, doors, and fittings to factory standards
  7. Assisting with insurance repair work, including accurate documentation and photos for assessments
  8. Occasionally supporting spray painters with preparation or finishing to complete repair jobs

Requirements:

  1. Hold a relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Certificate III (including 2 years of on-the-job training), or an AQF Certificate IV plus at least one year of work experience
  2. At least three (3) years of relevant full-time work experience may substitute for formal qualifications
  3. Proven experience in vehicle panel beating, repair, and restoration work
  4. Ability to assess vehicle damage and determine appropriate repair methods
  5. Competence in using panel beating tools, welding equipment, and repair machinery
  6. Ability to carry out metal finishing, sanding, and panel alignment
  7. Strong attention to detail with commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship

Vehicle Painter

Key Duties:

  1. Preparing vehicle panels and surfaces for painting, including sanding, masking, and treating rough or damaged areas
  2. Mixing and colour matching paints to achieve factory or custom finishes
  3. Performing full resprays, bumper resprays, and touch-ups for minor scratches or accident damage
  4. Applying primers, base coats, clear coats, and protective finishes using spray guns in booth ovens
  5. Sanding and polishing between coats to achieve smooth, high-quality results
  6. Carrying out finishing tasks such as waxing, buffing, and cut & polish for vehicle restoration
  7. Assisting with insurance jobs by providing accurate paint restoration to match assessment requirements
  8. Applying rust-proofing treatments or custom detailing as required by customers

Requirements:

  1. Hold a relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Certificate III (including 2 years of on-the-job training), or an AQF Certificate IV plus at least one year of work experience
  2. At least three (3) years of relevant full-time work experience may substitute for formal qualifications
  3. Proven experience in automotive spray painting or vehicle refinishing
  4. Ability to prepare vehicle surfaces including sanding, masking, and priming
  5. Strong skills in colour matching and paint mixing
  6. Proficiency in using spray painting equipment and techniques
  7. Ability to deliver high-quality finishes with strong attention to detail

General Clerk

Key Duties:

  1. Maintaining and updating job files, quotes, invoices, and other repair-related documents.
  2. Recording and tracking the allocation and return of tools, equipment, and workshop materials.
  3. Handling incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and customer correspondence.
  4. Photocopying, scanning, and filing repair orders, parts requests, and administrative documents.
  5. Assisting with preparation of daily and weekly reports, such as job status and parts tracking.
  6. Entering job details and updates into the workshop management system and verifying data accuracy.
  7. Receiving customer phone calls and messages, and directing enquiries to the appropriate staff.
  8. Providing basic information to customers regarding service bookings and repair progress.
  9. Supporting front desk duties, such as greeting visitors and assisting with paperwork completion.

Requirements:

  1. Hold a relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Certificate II and have at least one year of full-time (or part-time equivalent) relevant work experience;
  2. or Hold a relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Certificate III with at least one year of relevant post-qualification work experience (minimum 20 hours per week);
  3. or At least one year of relevant full-time work experience may substitute for formal qualifications
  4. Attention to detail and strong record-keeping ability.
  5. Good communication skills and professional customer service manner.
  6. Competence in basic computer programs (Microsoft Office, email, workshop management software).
  7. Ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop environment.
  8. Prior experience in an automotive or service-related business is advantageous.
