Join a dynamic on-demand workforce providing respectful, person-centred care in Ashfield and surrounding suburbs. We are seeking a reliable, compassionate male Personal Care Assistant to start immediately on a casual, hourly basis. This role suits someone who enjoys flexible shifts, values dignity and independence, and can travel to client homes across the local area.
What the Role Involves- Personal care: Assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing and toileting while preserving privacy and choice.
- Mobility support: Helping with transfers, safe manual handling, and supervised walking or use of mobility aids.
- Medication prompting: Reminding and supporting clients to take prescribed medications as directed (not administering injections unless qualified).
- Domestic assistance: Light household tasks such as meal preparation, laundry, shopping support, and maintaining a safe living environment.
- Companionship and wellbeing: Conversation, social connection, accompaniment to appointments and community activities, and monitoring overall wellbeing.
- Documentation: Accurate recording of care delivered, reporting changes in condition and communicating with care coordinators and families.
- Male Applicants only, as per client matching criteria.
- Full Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle for travel to client locations.
- Current and valid Police Check.
- Working with Children Check (WWCC) cleared and current.
- Previous experience in aged care, disability support, community nursing assistance, or similar personal care roles preferred.
- Strong communication skills, empathy, cultural sensitivity and respect for client choice and independence.
- Ability to work flexibly across mornings, afternoons, evenings and occasional weekends on a casual basis.
