We are a well-established and growing property development company with a diverse portfolio of residential and mixed-use development projects in regional Queensland. Due to ongoing business growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to join our team on a full-time basis.

About the Role

Reporting to senior management, the Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and delivery of property development projects from inception through to completion. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and authorities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Managing property development and construction projects throughout the project lifecycle.
  2. Developing and monitoring project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  3. Coordinating with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and local authorities.
  4. Monitoring project progress and ensuring milestones are achieved within agreed timeframes.
  5. Identifying and managing project risks, issues, and variations.
  6. Reviewing project documentation, drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  7. Assisting with procurement, tender evaluation, and contractor selection processes.
  8. Ensuring compliance with relevant building regulations, planning requirements, and workplace health and safety standards.
  9. Preparing project reports and providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  10. Maintaining effective communication with all project participants to support successful project outcomes.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:

  1. A bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, Property Development, Architecture, or a related field.
  2. At least 5 years of relevant project management experience within the property development, construction, or related industry.
  3. Strong knowledge of project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration.
  4. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  5. Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple project activities and meet deadlines.
  6. Strong problem-solving, organisational, and leadership capabilities.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
